First shown at EasterCon 2013 - this image is a combination of several influences. In particular - withered lilies and the Black Mountains around Abergavenny in Wales. It is based on the popular myth of the Lich - an undead magician or king striving for eternal life.

I did a search on deviantart for art on liches and this one stands out, not sure what it is but somehow feels... more real.
